The new Zone Stacks tool allows you to define local laminate recipes in your composite designs. With this tool, you can create a stack of material and orientation angle combinations. Once the stack is defined, you can duplicate it or make it symmetrical. These zone stacks can then be used with the “Plies from Zones” tool to automatically create zone-based plies and cores within a specified laminate zone. The zone stacks are saved with the composite model but can also be saved separately for reuse in other designs.

You can specify the default directory for your stack files library by doing one of the following:

  • Click File > Options, then in the Creo Parametric Options dialog box, go to Applications > Composite, and enter the values under Plies from Zones.
  • Alternatively, set the composite_stacks_dir configuration option.
