Description
When machining parts, removing material from areas that are not directly visible from the spindle can be challenging. Undercut regions often create machining difficulties because they typically require specialized tools, such as T-slot cutters, to reach and remove material effectively.

Previously, Creo NC did not offer a dedicated machining strategy for undercuts that included automatic degouging. As a result, users often relied on manual techniques to complete these operations. This enhancement introduces a new automated 3-axis HSM toolpath specifically designed to machine undercut areas, eliminating the need for manual intervention and improving automation.

The new toolpath includes an Undercut Radial Clearance option, which provides a safe approach and exit when machining undercut regions.

The new toolpath also supports SHAFT_CLEARANCE parameter to help prevent collisions between the tool shaft and reference geometry.
