Description
The FINISHING_PASS parameter defines and controls the finishing pass for Face Milling HSM sequences. When this parameter is set to YES and BOTTOM_STOCK_ALLOW is specified, an additional finishing slice is automatically created.
To provide greater control, two additional parameters – FINISH_CUT_FEED and FINISH_SPINDLE_SPEED – are available. These parameters allow the finishing slice to be controlled independently from the other milling slices.

Benefits
This enhancement provides the following benefits:
- Provides additional finishing slice for Face Milling with independent cut and spindle speed controls
- Consistent with Creo NC workflows
Additional Information
| Tips: | When FINISHING_PASS is set to YES and FINISH_CUT_FEED and FINISH_SPINDLE_SPEED values are not specified, an additional slice or the last slice considers the default CUT_FEED and SPINDLE_SPEED values. |
| Limitations: | No known limitations. |
| Does this replace existing functionality? | No. |
| Configuration option associated with this functionality: | None. |
