The latest enhancement introduces the ability for HSM toolpaths to account for the profile or shape of solid tool holders during calculations. Previously, toolpath calculations ignored the holder’s profile, but now the toolpath degouges the solid tool holder against a reference part and in-process stock, ensuring greater alignment with the actual tool holder design.

Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0
Key Benefits
This improvement offers the following advantages:
- Enhanced Accuracy: Toolpaths are now precisely adjusted based on the actual tool holder shape.
- Optimized Toolpath Calculations: Incorporates the holder profile into machining steps for better results.
Additional Information
Tips:
- Ensure that you assemble the solid tool and solid tool holder in the correct position for generating an accurate toolpath and simulation.
- Placing the tool inside the holder generates an incorrect toolpath and simulation.
Limitations:
- No known limitations.
Configuration Option Associated with This Functionality:
- Option Name:
enable_hsmseq_holder_degouge - Values:
yes– Enables the functionality.no*– Default setting; functionality is not enabled.
This feature boosts the accuracy and efficiency of machining processes, making it a significant addition to HSM capabilities.
