In Creo Parametric 11.0, there’s now a clearer indication of whether a curve selection includes a composite curve object or just a segment of it. Previously, both were labeled as “Curve,” making it difficult to distinguish between them. Recognizing this difference is crucial, as the composite curve object is typically the preferred reference for ensuring regeneration stability during geometric changes.

With this update, when a composite curve object is selected, the label changes to “CompCrv,” replacing the old “Curve” label. This new label appears in selection workflows, tooltips in the graphics area, the Pick From List dialog, and in collectors. Previously, it was unclear whether the selection included the composite curve or just a segment, and there were no changes for selections that did not show a Curve label.

Benefits: This enhancement streamlines workflows by making it easier to select a more stable curve reference.
