Creo Parametric 12.4.0.0
User Interface Location: In the Composite environment, click Operations.

Description
Now, when features are grouped in the Composite Tree, the associated laminate objects are also grouped automatically in the Laminate Tree.

You can manually ungroup or regroup the laminate objects as needed.

To ungroup the laminate objects, do one of the following:

  • Right-click the group in the Laminate Tree, and then select Ungroup Laminate Objects from the shortcut menu.

  • Right-click the corresponding group in the Composite Tree, and then select  Ungroup Laminate Objects from the shortcut menu.

To regroup the laminate objects, do the following:

  1. In the Composite Tree, right-click the group containing at least one feature that created a laminate object.
  2. Select Group Laminate Objects from the shortcut menu.

When performing actions such as splicing or draping simulation, selecting a group allows you to apply the operation to all laminate objects in that group at once, removing the need to select each object individually.

The display of group headers in the Laminate Tree can be controlled by selecting or clearing the Group Headers checkbox in the Laminate Tree Filters dialog box.

Benefits
This enhancement enhances productivity and improves the user experience. Grouping in the Laminate Tree simplifies selection, makes the model easier to navigate, and keeps it better organized.
