FloEFD is a CFD (computational fluid dynamics) program from Mentor Graphics that embeds directly into PTC Creo. Since FloEFD can use existing information in the system for analysis it saves a significant amount of time. You can test and optimize products faster, resulting in better design. With design and analysis taking place in the same system there is no need to export or import, so you know you are always testing the most up to date design. This means that CFD analysis can be completed in less than an hour rather than days or weeks. As consumers continuously demand smaller and more efficient devices it can be a challenge for designers and engineers to manufacture products that will not overheat and malfunction.
