In Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0, the handling of out-of-date non-wrapper models has been significantly improved. When a collaboration license is unavailable, out-of-date non-wrappers will now be treated as missing components. Previously, if the collaboration license was not available, the wrapper was not updated even if the non-model had been modified, causing Creo Parametric to retrieve the outdated wrapper. This often led users to overlook warnings and continue using an outdated version of the model.
To prevent this, Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0 introduces a new configuration option to control the behavior when opening non-models without a collaboration license. The configuration option, intf3d_open_outofdate_unite, offers three settings:
- yes: Retrieves out-of-date wrapper files without a collaboration license (default behavior).
- no: Limits retrieving out-of-date wrapper files and marks the component as missing.
- no_with_warning: Provides a notification message when retrieving out-of-date wrapper files.
