In earlier versions, while Creo Simulate allowed opening multi-body parts from Creo Parametric and running analyses on them, it did not support defining simulation entities or objects directly on individual bodies. With this enhancement, users can now:
- Select distinct bodies within parts to assign materials, independent of the containing part.
- Utilize all interface types between bodies, whether they are within the same part or across multiple parts.
- Add bodies as valid reference types for applying heat loads.
- Apply part-type mesh controls to individual bodies for precise analysis.
- Define measures that reference volumes, which can now also reference individual bodies.
Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0
User Interface Location: Bodies are now selectable references for the following simulation entities:

![]() | ![]() |
Benefits
This improvement streamlines workflows by providing enhanced control over simulation setups for multi-body parts, making analyses more flexible and accurate.
Additional Information
- Limitations: No known limitations.
- Does This Replace Existing Functionality? No, it extends the existing functionality.
- Configuration Option: None.
Take advantage of this feature to achieve better simulation precision and flexibility for multi-body parts.
