What is the benefit of this enhancement?
A new user interface enables you to customize symbol parameters in the model environment. You can predefine parameter names and types for symbols. For each symbol instance, relevant parameters are automatically created based on the inputs provided in the Grouping and Variable Text Parameters tab in model-based definition.

The customized parameters are displayed on symbol instances, and the symbol parameter information can be passed to Windchill when designated.

The following image shows editing a custom symbol as an example:

This enhancement makes it easier to populate symbol information into parameters. Previously, symbol parameter information had to be created manually for each symbol instance in the model.

The Grouping and Variable Text Parameters can also be viewed using the Symbol Definition Parameter Info tool. This tool allows you to see all parameter information defined for a symbol instance. The information is read-only and cannot be edited. To access the tool, go to the Annotate tab, click the arrow next to Annotations, and select Symbol Definition Parameter Info.
