The Sheetmetal design environment now fully supports multibody functionality, allowing you to create multiple sheet metal bodies along with solid bodies. Each sheet metal body’s characteristics, such as thickness, are now defined by the body itself. A new feature specific to sheet metal bodies enables you to link a body to the part, meaning the sheet metal parameters, such as SMT_Thickness, are driven by the part parameters.
Sheet metal bodies also support familiar body attributes, such as Default body and Construction body. New and refined workflows for creating sheet metal bodies include:
- The New Body command lets you select whether to create a solid or sheet metal body.
- A Body Options tab is now available in features that create unattached walls.
- You can convert a solid body to a sheet metal body.
- Body operations are available for sheet metal bodies.
- When placing user-defined sheet metal features, a New Body option is provided.

Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0
User Interface Location: N/A.
Benefits:
These enhancements enhance user productivity and design efficiency, enabling you to:
- Easily design parts with repetitive or mirrored geometric shapes.
- Design in context using the master model methodology for sheet metal designs.
Additional Information:
- Limitations:
- At least one sheet metal body must exist in the design.
- The First Wall feature, which creates the initial geometry of a sheet metal body, cannot be suppressed.
- Does this replace existing functionality? No.
- Configuration option associated with this functionality: None.
