Previously, there was no control over the tolerance zone shape modifier for holes and spheres in ISO GPS models. Now, GD&T Advisor allows you to control the tolerance zone shape modifier using options such as SØ, Ø, or <none>. If the shape modifier is set to <none>, a warning message will notify you to add an orientation plane indicator to complete the definition. This enhancement improves compliance with ISO 1101 detailing standards for geometrical tolerances.

Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0

User Interface Location: Control over the zone shape modifier from the Details tab of Tolerance Feature.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced compliance with the ISO 1101 detailing standard by providing control over the tolerance zone shape modifier for holes and spheres.

Additional Information:

  • Limitations: GD&T Advisor checks whether the required indicator has been added to a geometrical tolerance, but it does not verify the correctness of the syntax used or the applicability of a specific datum feature label. This capability is available only when the tolerancing standard is set to ISO 1101:2017.
  • Does this replace existing functionality?: No.
  • Configuration Option: None required.
