What is the benefit of this enhancement?
With this enhancement, Creo now allows you to apply and vary wall offsets in formula-driven lattices. This capability is particularly useful when designing structures that control or guide fluid flow, such as baffles used in heat exchangers.

By varying the lattice wall offset, you can increase thickness in specific regions to close off areas and separate different spaces. This makes it easier to design fluid-flow engineering components using formula-based lattices like gyroids, commonly found in applications such as heat exchangers and mixers.

Previously, creating baffles to divide multiple fluid domains was a manual and time-consuming process. This enhancement automates that workflow, simplifying the creation of complex lattice-based baffles and improving overall design efficiency.

Additional Information

Tips:None.
Limitations:The following lattice parameters on the Density tab are recommended when you use a wall offset to create baffles:

• Distance – Approximately equal to the cell size found on the Cell Type tab.
• Target wall offset – Approximately ¼ to ⅓ of the cell size.
• Offset change rate – From 1 through 3.
Does this replace existing functionality?No.
Configuration option associated with this functionality:None.
