Creo Simulation Live now provides enhanced result capabilities, enabling users to extract and analyze a wider range of data. The updates include new probe options, expanded result quantities, and improved usability for simulation studies.

Key Features:

  • Expanded Probing:
    • Probe result quantities available on the results legend, including additional quantities like mass flow, volume flow, heat, and natural frequency.
    • Probes can now be created before running a simulation.
    • Modal frequency probing for up to 12 mode shapes (previously limited to 6).

  • Average Value Probing:
    • Probe the average value of quantities like stress, strain, temperature, and mass flow for selected references.
  • Enhanced Result Quantities:
    • Static and total pressure results now available.
    • Pressure drop analysis is now possible.
  • Improved Selection Options:
    • Bodies can be selected for results and probes across all study types.
    • Multiple references of the same type can be selected for probing average values.
  • Dynamic Query Feature:
    • Query result quantities dynamically at any point on the model.
    • Convert dynamic queries to probes for saving and reuse.

Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0

User Interface Location:

Changes to Simulation Probe—Live Simulation >  Simulation Probe.

Additional dynamic query of live simulation results—Live Simulation >  Simulation Query

More than 6 modes available for Modal Studies: Click Live Simulation Study >  Simulation Options and select upto 12 modes for a modal study.

Benefits:

  • Increased result options enhance analysis precision.
  • New probes integrate seamlessly with Behavioral Modeling studies.
  • Dynamic querying simplifies point-specific analysis.
  • Facilitates advanced use cases like pressure drop evaluations.

Additional Information:

  • Limitations: No known limitations.
  • Does this replace existing functionality? The dynamic query replaces the old simulation probe, offering more features and flexibility.
  • Configuration Options: None.
