Three new surface finish symbols have been added to the surface finish gallery, now compliant with the latest ASME and ISO standards, for both drawing and model-based definitions. These symbols help improve compliance with the detailing standards.
User Interface Location: In the Surface Finish Gallery, click Annotate > Surface Finish > Gallery
Release: Creo Parametric 9.0.0.0
What’s the Benefit of This Enhancement?
The addition of three new surface finish symbols, based on the latest ASME and ISO standards, provides more accurate and standardized surface finish representations. The new symbols are:
- ASME Y14.36-2018
- ISO 1302:2002
- ISO 25178:2016
These surface finish symbols also support parameter tagging. When these symbols are used in the model environment, relevant parameters are automatically created for the surface finish instance, streamlining model management and ensuring proper surface finish tracking.
