What is the benefit of this enhancement?
With this enhancement, you can create modal studies in Creo to generate designs based on the frequency modes of a part. Simulation results can be displayed after optimization to analyze the part’s response at its natural frequencies.
The designs can be generated with either of the following objectives:
- Maximize the fundamental frequency at a target volume percent or mass.
- Minimize the mass at a floor fundamental frequency.
This is particularly useful when generating designs that minimize the risk of failure due to resonant frequencies. Previously, designs could only be generated based on structural load cases. Now, you can also generate designs based on frequency responses, enabling the creation of lightweight parts with optimized frequency performance.
