What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You can now use bearing loads in Creo Ansys Simulation to represent realistic pin and hole connections.
Bearing loads allow you to apply force directly as a pin/hole connection. The load distribution is applied automatically over half of the cylindrical surface, following a parabolic distribution in the specified direction.
You can define the bearing load either by magnitude and direction or by using directional components. Only radial load components are supported. Axial components are not allowed and must be applied separately using an additional force, if required.
Bearing loads can be applied to shared references, and in such cases, the resulting effects are additive. It is recommended to apply bearing loads per individual hole rather than across multiple holes.
This enhancement enables more accurate simulation of pin/hole connections, producing results that are closer to real-world loading conditions compared to a simple force load.
