The regeneration behavior of centerlines in Sketcher has been significantly enhanced to improve predictability and usability.

Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0

User Interface Location: Sketch > Centerline.

Benefits
In previous versions of Creo, rotating centerlines sometimes led to unexpected geometry flips. This issue has been addressed in Creo 10.0, where Sketcher now prefers solutions that keep entities on a centerline on their original side relative to the center of rotation. This enhancement results in more predictable Sketcher regeneration when dimensional changes occur, making the creation of rotational patterns smoother and more reliable.

For cases where no solution matches the preferred criteria, entities are placed on the opposite side of the centerline, ensuring stability during operations. Additionally, sketches created in earlier versions of Creo are upgraded to this new behavior when modified.

Additional Information

  • Limitations: No known limitations.
  • Does This Replace Existing Functionality? No, it enhances existing functionality.
  • Configuration Option: None.

This improvement ensures better control over centerline behavior, leading to more efficient and reliable workflows in Sketcher.
