You can now use the Inertia Relief option to solve unconstrained models in Creo Ansys Simulation.

With the Inertia Relief option, a three-point constraint is applied internally to the model. It uses a 3–2–1 constraint with respect to a newly created UCS. These three-point constraints affect the displacement solution, but they do not affect the stress solution.

If a model already has constraints defined and you select the Inertia Relief option, the existing constraints are ignored, and the study considers Inertia Relief instead.

This option is available only for structural studies.

What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You can use this enhancement when you want to simulate a structure without constraints. The Inertia Relief option balances the external loads with inertial loads and accelerations within the structure.

This enhancement is useful for models that can be considered freely floating in space, with loads applied.
