In Generative Design, you can now define a total bearing force load on cylindrical surfaces. Key features include:
Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0
User Interface Location:
•In the Generative Design application, click Loads > Bearing. The Bearing Load dialog box opens.

- Force Distribution: Choose between a parabolic function (default) or a sinusoidal function for force distribution.
- Spread Angle: Set the spread angle from the load direction vector, defaulting to 90 degrees, to distribute the load on each side.
- Load Definition: Define the magnitude and direction of the load using either “Magnitude and direction” or “Directional components.”
Once defined, the bearing load appears under the loads section in the Model Tree for the specified load set.

Previously, capturing accurate loading conditions for optimization when bearing loads were required was challenging. Users had to define standard loading conditions that did not capture the design intent or over-constrain the model to account for bearing conditions.
Benefits:
- Enhanced accuracy in defining loading conditions for optimization, effectively capturing the design intent.
