What is the benefit of this enhancement?
The new Select Related tree enables you to quickly investigate design relationships. It offers a standardized and flexible user interface that allows the tool to remain open during design workflows.
The benefits of the improved Select Related tree are:
- A standardized and more flexible user interface, with an option to convert the tree to a full component that can be docked to other user interface components.
- A new filtering option to include or exclude system references (indirectly related parents or children of the selected feature).
- A structured view of:
- Path (including assemblies, sub-assemblies, bodies, or quilts)
- Direct parents and direct children (in Part mode and for activated parts in Assembly mode only)
- Selected feature
- An accompanying tool for a quick investigation. The tree updates after you select changes in the graphics window.
- Navigate quickly between previously selected features with Previous and Next commands.
Previously, the tool did not allow viewing children or filtering out system references, which made it difficult to understand direct relationships. This enhancement addresses those limitations.
