You can now set ECAD parameters when creating holes in the ECAD environment through the Hole feature user interface. This functionality allows you to define and manage parameter values and defaults using the dedicated ECAD hole chart (ecad.hol file).

User Interface Location: In an active board part, click Model > Hole.

Benefits:

  • Enables defining and customizing ECAD hole parameter defaults.
  • Provides clear visibility of parameters during the creation and modification of ECAD holes.
  • Facilitates quick parameter modifications directly from the Hole feature user interface.

Additional Information:

  • Limitations: User-defined parameters are not supported because they are not part of the IDF/IDX schema.
  • Does this replace existing functionality?: No.
  • Configuration option associated with this functionality: None.
