In Creo, the model tree’s reorder/restructure workflow has been enhanced to prevent unintentional restructuring, addressing a common concern where users could accidentally restructure an assembly when attempting to reorder a component.
The improvement includes a clearer indication during the drag-and-drop operation, minimizing the chances of unintended restructuring. The timer for automatic expansion of tree nodes during dragging has been extended to reduce unwanted expansions. Nodes invalid for restructuring are no longer automatically expanded during dragging.

In the case of a restructure, a dynamic tooltip now explicitly states the component being dragged and its destination, providing clarity, especially when the target component isn’t in view. A new confirmation dialog acts as an additional safety measure, prompting users to confirm the restructuring operation.
