It is now possible to trim retract movements to a user-defined datum plane.

In Creo, you can use the new Trim Plane option to trim or extend retract movements to a specified datum plane. This option applies to Volume, Profile, Face, Trajectory, and Holemaking operations.

This enhancement offers more flexible retract options for milling. To use it, simply go to the Clearance tab and select the datum plane in the Trim Plane collector to define the new trimming operation for your retracts.

Benefits: This enhancement provides several advantages:

  • Increased flexibility in retract options for milling
  • Improved productivity by reducing time spent on retract movements
