Description
The Lattice Connect feature in Creo Parametric now includes support for Delaunay triangulation.

  • Lattice Connect is a powerful tool to connect and combine multiple lattices into one coherent lattice structure.
  • In this release, we continue expanding the support of additional lattice types as input to the Lattice Connect feature.
  • Stochastic lattice with Delaunay triangulation can be connected to:
    • A regular lattice with Triangular, Square, Hexagonal, Octagonal, Rhombic Dodecahedron, or Elongated Dodecahedron cell types
  • Another stochastic lattice with Delaunay triangulation or Voronoi diagram with inside volume
  • Mathematically, Delaunay triangulation is the dual of Voronoi diagram, and both provide the means to generate different lattice topologies (lightweight and strong).

Additionally, the algorithm has been improved to better handle lattice connections when there are empty spaces or larger gaps between lattices.
