Creo Ansys Simulation has introduced several enhancements for defining contacts, including support for additional contact types:

  • Frictionless
  • Frictional
  • Rough

Additionally, you can now define structural contact behavior, enabling the grouping of contacts. The following extra settings are available for more flexibility:

  • Formulation
  • Selectable contact detection methods, either by radius or by factor
  • A preview simulation option for all contact types
  • Corresponding results related to the contact

Structural Contact Behavior Settings

User Interface Location: Click Ansys Simulation > Refine Model > Contact.
