The Lattice feature in Creo introduces two innovative auxetic cell types to enhance design capabilities:

  • Auxetic Uniform Lattice: Controlled by the X angle parameter, enabling precise customization.

  • Auxetic Non-Uniform Lattice: Controlled by both the X and Y angle parameters for added flexibility.

Auxetic cells are designed to create beam-based lattices with a unique negative Poisson’s ratio, offering remarkable structural benefits.

Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0

User Interface Location: Click Engineering >  Lattice > Cell Type, and select  auxetic with two angles, or  auxetic with one angle.

Key Benefits:

  • Design advanced meta-materials with high energy absorption and exceptional fracture resistance—ideal for applications such as body armor and medical devices.
  • Utilize beam-based lattice structures with negative Poisson’s ratio properties.
  • Leverage these capabilities entirely within the Creo environment, ensuring a seamless and fully associative workflow.

Additional Information:

  • Limitations: None identified.
  • Replacement of Existing Functionality: No.
