Welding: Spot Weld Enhancements


The Spot Weld feature has been enhanced to allow the use of all types of datum points for defining spot welds. This includes datum points created using methods introduced in Creo Parametric 11. Previously, only specific types of datum points could be used.

Key Enhancements:

  • All Datum Points Supported: Sketched, projected, on curve, offset, field, imported, and more.
  • Support for Patterns: Apply spot welds to patterns of points.
  • Additional Core Weld Features:
    • Project Sketch now supports points.
    • Offset Curve functionality.

Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0

User Interface Location: Click Applications >  Welding >  Spot Weld.

  • Greater efficiency in creating spot welds.
  • No restrictions on how points are created for spot weld definitions.
