Description
In Creo Parametric, certain machine and tool configurations require additional control over the rotation of the coordinate system in the tool definition.
With the new TIP_ROTATION_ANGLE parameter, you can assign any rotation angle without changing the coordinate system orientation in the tool definition for back spotting tools used in back boring and back countersinking sequences. This parameter defines the angle between the TIP coordinate system of the solid tool and the actual cutting edge of the tool.

Benefits
This enhancement provides the following benefits:

  • More flexibility to create back-boring toolpaths
  • The only possible solution available for some cases
  • Consistent with Creo NC workflows
