What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You can now create a periodic loft surface between selected curve chains using the new Make Periodic option.
To use this option, you must select three or more curve chains. The resulting surface connects the last selected chain to the first selected chain with G2 curvature continuity. Reparameterization curves cannot be added to a periodic surface.
Previously, lofted surfaces created from closed curves did not maintain G2 continuity at the curve closure points.
This enhancement improves productivity and the overall user experience by reducing the need to create additional surfaces to approximate a closed loft with proper G2 continuity at the closure points.
