IWP—Introducing a Formula-Driven Lattice Cell Type

The Lattice tool in Creo now includes a new formula-driven cell type: IWP (I-graph and Wrapped Package-graph). This TPMS (Triply Periodic Minimal Surface) structure is designed to enable the creation of lattices with exceptional structural efficiency.

Creo Parametric 10.0.0.0

User Interface Location: Click Engineering >  Lattice > Lattice Type >  Formula Driven > Cell Type > IWP.

Key Benefits:

  • Enhanced Structural Efficiency: IWP lattice is ideal for lightweight structures in thermal, fluid, and structural applications.
  • Versatility: Perfect for use in heat exchangers, medical devices, and other high-performance designs.
  • Energy Absorption and Fracture Resistance: Easily create metamaterials with outstanding performance characteristics.
  • Seamless Integration: IWP lattices are part of the regular lattice creation workflow, fully integrated into the Creo Parametric environment.
