In Creo 10.0, the indexing scheme for Reference Patterns in the Model Tree has been enhanced to provide more clarity and organization. Now, referenced feature patterns and group patterns are indexed individually when both types are part of a Reference Pattern.

This means that features under a Reference Pattern are better distinguished, making it easier to identify and work with specific feature instances within complex patterns.

Benefits
The improved indexing offers a clearer understanding of feature instances within Reference Patterns, streamlining workflows in complex designs. Previously, feature and group patterns referenced within a Reference Pattern were not indexed separately, which could lead to confusion.

Example of Enhanced Indexing:

  • Index 1: Feature pattern index (#1) – {1, 2, 3}
  • Index 2: Feature pattern index (#2) – {1, 2}
  • Index 3: Group pattern index (#3) – {1, 2, 3, 4}

Additional Information

  • Limitations: None reported.
  • Replacement of Existing Functionality: No.
  • Configuration Option: None required.

This enhancement simplifies the management of patterns in the Model Tree, making it easier to navigate and manipulate complex feature structures in your designs.
