Watch a video that demonstrates this enhancement:

What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You can now create stochastic lattices directly on surfaces or quilts in Creo, without needing to define a closed volume. Unlike other lattice types, this approach removes the need for workarounds such as creating a solid volume and then deselecting unwanted walls.
This capability is especially useful when generating beam-based lattices on specific surfaces or a group of surfaces. It simplifies the workflow for creating surface-based lattices using stochastic algorithms.

By enabling the On bounding surfaces option, you can generate a stochastic lattice by selecting individual surfaces or quilts, without selecting a solid body.

Additionally, the Patch open areas option allows automatic filling of surface voids when required.

Overall, this update removes the workaround previously required for skin lattice creation and provides greater control when building lattices on the skin of a part, including support for open lattice sections.
