The standalone symbols now includes support for semantic definition and semantic query, the creation of associated parameters, the designation of symbols as control characteristics, and the report for symbols that are failing in the notification center.
The standalone symbols can now collect semantic references to convey the design intent for the model-based definition use. A dedicated semantic reference command is available on the new contextual symbol ribbon as shown below.

You can also create the associated parameters for standalone symbols to convey the design intent, as needed.

You can designate the symbols as a control characteristic directly from their ribbon options or from the contextual shortcut menu.

Failing references of symbols are reported in the notification center.

You can exclude the symbols when their parent references are suppressed, excluded, or deleted.
The symbols are supported by the semantic query tool, so you can easily understand the semantic relations between the symbols and the associated geometrical references.
