PDM is solving a problem that shouldn’t exist in the first place.
Let me just lay that out there to start with.
As the digital age swallows up more and more information, the need to easily access and leverage that information becomes more and more important.
Product Development relies on the creation and access to this type of digital data. Its creation is typically done through a CAD system and the control and access through a PDM (Product Data Management) or PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.
